Mrs. Pope`s Reading Corner Grows!

Ms. Marsha Pope came to Sanford Middle School in 1983 as a classroom teacher. Soon she became the librarian and held that position for 22 years until her retirement in 2007. Because of Ms. Pope's love for and dedication to Sanford's media center, a reading area memorial has been arranged in the library called "Ms. Pope's Corner." Mrs. Henderson has now purchased three chairs and Mr. & Mrs. Graydon have donated a Peaceful Journey statue by artist Jim Shore in her honor. To complete this area, we need to purchase only 1 more chair!  If you would like to offer a monetary donation towards the memorial, you may drop off or mail the check made out to SMS.  Please note on the check that it is for Ms. Pope's Corner.  If you have questions, please email Mrs. Henderson at henderson.patti@lee.k12.al.us.  We certainly appreciate any help you can give.
